Customer Care, Diamond Support and Jewellery Protection Policy
Policy version: 1.0
Issued by: Kurbãni Durjini
Applicable to: Eligible Kurbãni Durjini jewellery pieces purchased directly from Kurbãni Durjini or an approved Kurbãni Durjini sales channel.
1. Introduction
The Imperial Asset Protection Plan by Kurbãni Durjini has been created to give clients added reassurance when purchasing a fine jewellery piece from our house.
Every Kurbãni Durjini piece is individually crafted, set and finished to a high standard. Due to the personal nature of fine jewellery, particularly engagement rings, diamond rings and made to order designs, we understand that clients may require assistance after purchase with sizing, maintenance, small diamond replacement or future diamond replacement support.
This policy sets out the protection benefits available under Imperial Asset Protection, including qualifying size changes, small diamond replacement support and discounted main diamond replacement assistance.
This plan is a jewellery care and protection service provided by Kurbãni Durjini. It is designed to support the long term care of your piece and does not replace the need for separate home, contents, valuables or jewellery insurance.
2. Important Status of This Plan
Imperial Asset Protection is a customer care and jewellery protection plan. It is not intended to operate as a financial insurance product unless expressly confirmed in writing by Kurbãni Durjini through an authorised insurance provider.
This plan does not provide a cash payout, financial indemnity or compensation for the full loss of jewellery. It does not cover theft, disappearance, fire, flood, accidental loss of the full item or any third party financial loss.
Clients are strongly encouraged to arrange separate jewellery insurance or add their Kurbãni Durjini piece to an existing home or valuables insurance policy for theft, loss, fire, accidental disappearance and wider accidental damage protection.
3. What This Plan Helps With
Imperial Asset Protection provides support in three main areas:
- Ring size changes and sizing assistance.
- Replacement of qualifying small diamonds.
- Discounted replacement assistance for the main diamond or principal centre stone.
The plan is designed to reduce the financial burden of common aftercare situations while preserving the integrity, craftsmanship and long term value of the jewellery piece.
4. Eligibility
Imperial Asset Protection applies only to eligible jewellery pieces purchased directly from Kurbãni Durjini or from a channel approved by Kurbãni Durjini.
To qualify, the client must provide:
- The original order number or proof of purchase.
- The name of the original purchaser.
- Clear photographs or videos of the jewellery piece where requested.
- Any certificate, valuation, appraisal or diamond documentation supplied with the piece.
- The physical jewellery item for inspection before any work is approved.
Kurbãni Durjini reserves the right to decline service where the item cannot be verified as an authentic Kurbãni Durjini piece.
5. Duration of Protection
Unless otherwise stated in writing, Imperial Asset Protection applies for a period of 36 months from the date the jewellery item is dispatched to the client.
After the initial protection period ends, Kurbãni Durjini may, at its discretion, offer continued care, repair or replacement support at preferential client pricing.
Any extension, renewal or upgrade of Imperial Asset Protection must be confirmed in writing by Kurbãni Durjini.
6. Size Change Protection
6.1 What Is Included
Imperial Asset Protection includes support for qualifying ring size changes where the size adjustment is technically possible and safe for the design.
Subject to inspection, the plan may include:
- One complimentary qualifying size adjustment within the first 12 months of dispatch.
- Preferential pricing on additional size changes during the protection period.
- Reduced labour charges where a full rebuild is required due to the design of the ring.
- Priority assessment by the Kurbãni Durjini workshop.
- Professional checking of the setting, diamonds and structure during the sizing process.
6.2 Qualifying Size Changes
A qualifying size change usually means a size adjustment that can be completed without compromising the structure, diamond setting, engraving, hallmark, symmetry or design integrity of the ring.
For most eligible rings, a qualifying size change will usually be within approximately two UK ring sizes up or down from the original ordered size.
Larger size changes may require a full rebuild and may not be treated as a standard resize.
6.3 Full Rebuilds
Some Kurbãni Durjini rings cannot be simply resized due to their design. This may apply to full eternity rings, highly detailed settings, pavé designs, bespoke pieces, engraved rings, shaped bands or rings with diamonds set around a significant portion of the band.
Where a full rebuild is required, Imperial Asset Protection may contribute by reducing labour costs or offering a preferential rebuild quotation. The client may still be responsible for:
- Additional metal required.
- Additional diamonds or gemstones required.
- Hallmarking costs.
- Design changes requested by the client.
- Transport, customs or import charges where applicable.
- Any upgrade from the original specification.
6.4 Size Change Exclusions
Size change protection does not cover:
- Changes requested due to incorrect information supplied by the client, unless Kurbãni Durjini agrees otherwise as a gesture of goodwill.
- Rings altered, repaired or resized by another jeweller.
- Pieces that have been damaged through impact, bending, crushing or improper use.
- Size changes that would compromise the safety or design of the piece.
- Rebuilds requested for style preference rather than sizing need.
- Changes to the original design, stone shape, metal type or setting style.
7. Small Diamond Replacement Protection
7.1 What Is Included
Imperial Asset Protection includes replacement support for qualifying small diamonds that become loose, damaged or missing from the jewellery piece during normal wear.
This may include small pavé diamonds, halo diamonds, shoulder diamonds, accent diamonds or other minor diamonds used as part of the design.
Subject to inspection and approval, Kurbãni Durjini may provide:
- Replacement of qualifying small diamonds.
- Labour required to reset the replacement small diamond.
- Cleaning and checking of the affected area.
- Inspection of nearby stones to reduce the chance of further loosening.
- Preferential repair pricing where the replacement falls outside the complimentary allowance.
7.2 Definition of a Small Diamond
For the purpose of this plan, a small diamond usually means a diamond of 0.10 carat or below that is not the main centre diamond, principal gemstone or featured stone of the piece.
Where a design contains multiple important stones, Kurbãni Durjini will determine whether a stone is considered a small diamond or a principal stone.
7.3 Annual Small Diamond Allowance
During the active protection period, the plan may include replacement of up to:
- Three qualifying small diamonds per 12 month period, or
- A total small diamond replacement weight of up to 0.30 carat per 12 month period,
whichever limit is reached first.
Any replacement beyond this allowance may be offered at preferential repair pricing.
7.4 Diamond Matching
Replacement small diamonds will be matched as closely as reasonably possible to the original design, size, colour, clarity and setting style.
Due to the natural variation of diamonds and gemstones, Kurbãni Durjini cannot guarantee an exact visual match in every case. However, all replacement stones will be selected to preserve the appearance and quality of the piece as far as reasonably possible.
7.5 Small Diamond Exclusions
Small diamond replacement protection does not cover:
- Missing diamonds caused by heavy impact, crushing, bending or force.
- Missing diamonds caused by the item being altered or repaired by another jeweller.
- Damage caused by neglect, improper storage or inappropriate cleaning.
- Damage caused by wearing the item during gym activity, manual labour, swimming, cleaning, sleeping or other high risk activities.
- Replacement of coloured gemstones unless agreed in writing.
- Diamonds above 0.10 carat unless treated as a paid repair or discounted replacement.
- Loss of the full jewellery item.
- Theft or unexplained disappearance.
8. Main Diamond Replacement Support
8.1 What Is Included
Imperial Asset Protection provides discounted replacement support for the main diamond or principal centre stone of an eligible Kurbãni Durjini piece.
This support is designed to assist clients where the main diamond is damaged, chipped, cracked, dislodged and not recoverable, or otherwise requires replacement.
The plan does not provide a free main diamond replacement unless this is expressly confirmed in writing by Kurbãni Durjini.
8.2 Discounted Replacement Benefit
Where a main diamond replacement is approved, Kurbãni Durjini may offer the client a preferential replacement quotation.
The standard benefit is:
Up to 20 percent discount from the current Kurbãni Durjini replacement quotation for a comparable main diamond or centre stone.
The final discount and quotation will depend on:
- Diamond shape.
- Carat weight.
- Colour grade.
- Clarity grade.
- Certification requirements.
- Market availability.
- Whether the client wishes to match, upgrade or alter the original diamond specification.
- The complexity of the setting work required.
8.3 Comparable Replacement
A comparable replacement means a diamond or gemstone that is reasonably similar to the original specification, subject to availability.
Where the original diamond is no longer available or where market supply has changed, Kurbãni Durjini will provide suitable replacement options for the client to review.
If the client chooses a higher specification, larger carat weight, rarer colour, different shape or different certification level, the client will be responsible for the additional cost.
8.4 Main Diamond Exclusions
Main diamond replacement support does not cover:
- Theft of the jewellery item.
- Loss of the full jewellery item.
- Unexplained disappearance.
- Fire, flood or household damage.
- Main diamond loss caused by unauthorised repair or alteration.
- Damage caused by misuse, impact, crushing or neglect.
- Any cash payment instead of replacement.
- Market value compensation.
- Sentimental value.
- Any increase in diamond prices after the original purchase date.
- Replacement of a diamond with a higher specification unless the client pays the difference.
9. Inspection Requirement
To keep the jewellery piece in the best condition, Kurbãni Durjini recommends that clients arrange a professional inspection at least once every 12 months.
During inspection, the workshop may check:
- Diamond security.
- Claw condition.
- Band shape.
- Setting integrity.
- Metal wear.
- Signs of impact or pressure.
- Cleanliness and general condition.
Kurbãni Durjini may decline complimentary protection where an item shows clear signs of long term neglect, repeated impact damage or unauthorised repair.
10. Client Care Responsibilities
Fine jewellery should be worn with care. To protect the item, clients should avoid wearing their jewellery during:
- Gym training.
- Manual labour.
- Swimming.
- Showering.
- Sleeping.
- Cleaning.
- Gardening.
- Heavy lifting.
- Sports.
- Activities involving chemicals, pressure or impact.
Clients should store jewellery separately in a safe jewellery box or travel case to avoid scratching, pressure or accidental damage.
11. What Is Not Covered
Imperial Asset Protection does not cover:
- Theft.
- Loss of the full item.
- Unexplained disappearance.
- Cash reimbursement.

- Any item where the original certificate or documentation has been altered.
- Any change in market value, gold price, diamond price or resale value.
12. Transport and Shipping
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the client is responsible for safely sending the jewellery piece to the Kurbãni Durjini workshop or approved service address.
The client should use a secure, tracked and insured delivery service.
Kurbãni Durjini is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit before they are received and signed for by Kurbãni Durjini or its approved workshop.
Return shipping within the United Kingdom may be covered by Kurbãni Durjini where the service is approved under this plan. International return shipping, customs duties, taxes, import charges or local fees are the responsibility of the client unless agreed otherwise in writing.
13. Assessment Process
Before any work is approved, the item must be inspected by Kurbãni Durjini or an approved workshop.
The assessment may determine:
- Whether the item qualifies under Imperial Asset Protection.
- Whether the requested work is technically possible.
- Whether the damage is consistent with normal wear.
- Whether the item has been altered or repaired by another jeweller.
- Whether the work will be complimentary, discounted or chargeable.
- Whether replacement stones are required.
- Whether the piece requires a full rebuild.
No protection benefit is confirmed until Kurbãni Durjini has completed its inspection and issued written approval.
14. Timeframes
Timeframes depend on the nature of the work, workshop capacity, stone availability, hallmarking requirements and transport.
Indicative timeframes are:
- Standard inspection: 3 to 7 business days after receipt.
- Simple size adjustment: 7 to 15 business days after approval.
- Small diamond replacement: 7 to 20 business days after approval.
- Full rebuild: 15 to 30 business days after approval.
- Main diamond replacement: timeframe confirmed once the replacement diamond has been sourced.
These timeframes are estimates and may vary during busy periods, including wedding season, holidays and periods of high workshop demand.
15. Certificates and Documentation
Clients should keep all original documents safe, including:
- Diamond certificates.
- Authenticity certificates.
- Valuation documents.
- Original order confirmation.
- Service records.
- Any written approval from Kurbãni Durjini.
Where a main diamond is replaced, Kurbãni Durjini may provide updated documentation where applicable. Any cost for new independent certification or valuation may be payable by the client unless expressly included in the replacement quotation.
16. Transferability
Imperial Asset Protection applies to the original purchaser and the original jewellery item.
The plan is not automatically transferable to a new owner unless Kurbãni Durjini agrees in writing.
If a piece is sold, gifted or transferred, the new owner should contact Kurbãni Durjini to request a transfer review.
17. Changes to the Jewellery Piece
Any unauthorised alteration may void the benefits of this plan.
This includes:
- Resizing by another jeweller.
- Stone replacement by another jeweller.
- Polishing or refinishing by another jeweller.
- Resetting the diamond.
- Changing the metal.
- Adding or removing stones.
- Changing the design.
- Any repair not approved by Kurbãni Durjini.
To preserve protection, all work should be completed only by Kurbãni Durjini or an approved Kurbãni Durjini workshop.
18. Fraud, Misuse and Misrepresentation
Kurbãni Durjini may refuse service, cancel protection or charge the full cost of work where there is evidence of fraud, misuse, false information, altered documentation or deliberate damage.
Examples include:
- Claiming protection for a non Kurbãni Durjini item.
- Submitting altered photographs or documents.
- Concealing previous repairs.
- Misrepresenting how damage occurred.
- Attempting to replace stones that were not part of the original item.
- Repeated misuse of the protection plan.
19. No Effect on Statutory Rights
Imperial Asset Protection is provided in addition to any statutory rights that may apply.
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove, limit or replace a client’s legal rights under applicable consumer law.
20. Cancellation
Where Imperial Asset Protection is sold as a separate paid plan, the client may cancel within 14 days of purchase provided no service request has been made and no work has been carried out.
If the plan was included complimentary with the purchase of the jewellery item, no cash refund is available for the value of the plan.
Where a service request has already been approved or completed, cancellation rights may be limited to the extent permitted by law.
21. Complaints and Client Support
Kurbãni Durjini aims to handle every service request with care, fairness and professionalism.
